The
RTF
document import
wizard
is used to quickly create a formatted
Document
document or content item.

Saving time using the document import

You can create a Document or content item from scratch in Blueriq, but you can also be off to a running start by importing an existing

RTF

.docx document.

Companies

Organizations often already have detailed templates of the documents that are involved in their business processes. In that case, the easiest way to a new Document is to import

an RTF

a docx-file into Blueriq

Studio

Encore. During the import process, you can map the various styles that the import wizard detects in the source document onto pre-defined content styles and presentation styles in Blueriq, which may save a lot of time and facilitates a cooperation between the business and business engineer.

Tip

You can save

a lot of studio editing

even more time by 'cleaning' the source

RTF

docx document before import: make sure all paragraphs, headings, ... that look the same, actually have the same style.

In Microsoft Word, you can use the Format Painter to copy and paste styles, as can be seen in the image on the right.
