Did you know? Message events

Did you know that it is not allowed to send Message events from within your process to process instances of the same type?

The process engine is based on the BPMN 2.0 specification. Therefore the process engine handles message events the same way BPMN 2.0 specifies. This article explains how BPMN 2.0 specifies message events and how Blueriq implements this specification.

Release 10.8

Routing algorithm extension

We have improved the reevaluation of the routing algorithm for assigned tasks. A new option has been introduced at the definition of the routing algorithm: Overwrite manual assignments.

Saxon replaces Xalan

Blueriq relies on the Xalan framework to generate Blueriq Documents, render HTML when using the XSLT plugin and creating SOAP requests when using the AQ_SoapServiceClient. As the Xalan framework is no longer supported we made the decision to move to the Saxon framework instead.

Platform Support changes

Added support

  • Tomcat 9.0,
  • JBoss EAP 7.1
  • Websphere Liberty Core v17.0.0.4
  • JDK 9 support is added (please note that you should add the VM argument --add-modules java.xml.ws to run properly)

Removals

  • Tomcat 8.0 support is removed in favor of Tomcat 8.5 and Tomcat 9.0
  • Websphere Liberty Core v17.0.0.2 is removed in favor of Liberty Core v17.0.0.3 and Liberty Core v17.0.0.4
