Problem

When you upgraded a Blueriq installation or installed a new version of Blueriq and you go to the Studio, an error message is displayed instead of the login screen.

Solution

 Studio is an XBAP application. Browsers maintain a cache for this, which sometimes can cause problems when upgrading to a new version. In order to resolve this you have to clear the cache:

  • Close all browsers
  • Run the following command (Start → Run or Windows key + R):


rundll32 %windir%\system32\dfshim.dll CleanOnlineAppCache

  1. Sometimes the solution described in this article does not fix the problem. I closed the browser and removed the %APPDATA%\..\Local\Apps\2.0  folder which fixed the problem for me.
