The Main_Dashboard project is used for all user-interaction that is not Case-Type specific. In your solution there will probably be one Main_Dashoard project, where Widget implementations are modelled. Widgets like showing CaseLists to users, showing which Case-Types are available to start new Cases on are modelled here.
This model uses the Metadata definition so CaseLists can be modelled and view columns of generic metadata.
