Before you upgrade make sure to read the General Upgrade instructions as well as the Upgrade instructions for previous versions.
The changes are color coded. Orange elements have been changed, Green elements have been added and Red elements have been removed compared to the 15.x release.

DCM 2.0 Upgrade instructions
Locking changes
We changed the locking implementation. As a consequence, existing case locks may not function properly after upgrading to this release. To prevent this, make sure all case locks are removed before performing the upgrade. Existing case locks can be viewed using the DCM Maintenance App.
