Background tasks for process engine are not picked up

Problem

Background tasks (for example timer tasks, task expiration's and other) for certain projects are not being picked up (automatically).

Short term solution

This is applicable for Blueriq 9.x up to and including Blueriq 10.8. Please start a session of all desired projects (manually) and the process engine will register itself to the background timer.

Desired solution

This behavior will be changed in the future so tasks will still be handled even if no session has been registered.
