Before you upgrade make sure to read the General Upgrade instructions as well as the Upgrade instructions for previous versions.
The changes are color coded. Orange elements have been changed, Green elements have been added and Red elements have been removed compared to the 16.x release.

Actuator authentication
The authentication method for actuators has been changed. Instead of using the users.properties file we now add an actuator user by default. This user has been configured using the Spring security user properties. Please see the respective actuator configuration page for more information.
