A JDBC driver (Java Database Connectivity) is a way for Java programs to connect to databases. When you run the Blueriq installer, a PostgreSQL driver is configured out-of-the-box. On this page you find instructions how to install a JDBC driver for your database and application server for the different database brands.
All supported database platforms can be found on the Platform support page.
For Microsoft SQL Server, we recommend using the Microsoft JDBC Driver (the recommended version can be found at the platform support page). This driver can be found at maven central https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/microsoft/sqlserver/mssql-jdbc/ or the Microsoft website
This driver uses encryption by default and therefor you either have to
trustServerCertificate=true
inside the jdbc urlFor Oracle, we recommend to use the ojdbc11 driver: ojdbc11.jar (the recommended version can be found at the platform support page). The ojdbc8 driver can be found at maven central https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/oracle/database/jdbc/ojdbc11/ or can be downloaded from the Oracle website.
For PostgreSQL use the JDBC driver (the recommended version can be found at the platform support page) which can be found at maven central https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/postgresql/postgresql/ or can be downloaded from https://jdbc.postgresql.org/.
On Tomcat, the JDBC driver is usually placed in the $CATALINA_HOME\lib folder.

For JBoss EAP the JDBC drivers should be added as a module.
