SonarQube allows administrator accounts to set up an email service for notifications. While there are various items users can be notified about, this page describes notifications for Quality Gate status changes.
- First, as an administrator, set up the email service. The screen below can be found under Administration > General > Email.
- Once this has been set up, a user can subscribe to the email service. As a user, go to My Account by clicking on your gravatar in the top right corner. Find the below screen under Notifications. User will probably want to set notifications per project, depending on the size of the userbase of your SonarQube instance. Save the notifications settings.
- Done! This should be adequate for a user to receive emails when the Quality Gate status changes from Passed to Failed, for example.
