The DCM Dashboard project type contains globals and can contains other modules as a reference for the globals. Unlike a regular project, the DCM Dashboard cannot be executed by the Runtime. It can only be executed by the DCM Dashboard backend.
Create a DCM Dashboard project
To create a project:
- Select the branch in which you want to create the project.
- Open the Dashboards menu from the navigation panel.
- Select "+ New project" in the expansion panel named "Projects"
- Choose a name and click "Create"
After a project has been created only one extra setting is mandatory, namely configuring the Entry page. When starting from scratch there usually is none yet and the project validation will help you to remind to do so later.
Export a project
To export a DCM Dashboard project, the project needs to be valid. Read more about project validation here.
If a project is valid, it can be exported using one of these options:
- Open the context menu (
) of a project in the navigation panel and choose "Export". - Or once the DCM Dashboard project has already been selected choose "Export dashboard"
